FROM THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN

Thank you for your interest in Faith Mountain Ministries. Faith Mountain is an non-denominational retreat ministry consisting of 250 beautiful wooded acres in the Central Lakes Region of West Virginia. There are miles of walking, hiking, mountain biking trails and a 2 1/2-acre pond for guests to enjoy.

Some of the best whitewater rafting in the world is within an hour and a half drive. There are two lakes within an hour where you can swim, fish and rent a boat. If you enjoy the outdoors, West Virginia offers a wide variety of activities. Horseback riding, kayaking, rock climbing, caving and whitewater rafting are among the many available options.

We currently have a newly built four-bedroom guest house and four two-bedroom guest cottages. The four-bedroom guest house has a spacious living/dining/kitchen, four bedrooms, gas fireplace and two baths, one with a whirlpool bathtub. There is a large back porch and a campfire ring.

The two bedroom cottages are completely furnished with a gas fireplace, whirlpool bath and two queen-size beds upstairs, a queen sofa/bed in the living room and a loveseat/single bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms. These cottages have a private back porch with a great view, a hammock and a campfire ring.

All guest accommodations are air conditioned, have fully equipped kitchens (stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster and grates to cook on the campfire), a hammock in the back and a campfire ring in front. The only thing guests need to bring for a visit to Faith Mountain is food.

There will eventually be a counselor on staff full-time. A conference center that will accommodate 100 is currently under construction with a projected completion date in 2006..

The Capitol City of Charleston is one hour from Faith Mountain where there are wonderful restaurants, movies, plays, shopping, etc. There are several outdoor dramas that would make a nice summer evening's entertainment. There are three ski resorts within a two hour drive of Faith Mountain for guests winter enjoyment.

Two Bedroom Cottage: (sleeps 7)
$60 plus tax per night for a couple or family
$50 plus tax per night for full-time ministry workers
$10 per person per night for each additional guest outside your immediate family staying in your cottage

Four Bedroom Guest House: (sleeps 12)
$100 plus tax per night for a couple or family
$80 plus tax per night for full-time ministry workers
$10 per person per night for each additional guest outside your immediate family staying in your cottage

The Cedar House:

The Cedar House is an L-shaped ranch that will accommodate 25 guests. The main floor has four bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, living and dining room. The lower living space has three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living and dining room. The main floor will accommodate 13 and the lower living area will accommodate 12 guests. In addition to the amenities listed above, The Cedar House also has dishwashers upstairs and down.

The Cedar House rates for the main floor are: $100 per night for a family, $80 per night for a full-time Pastor's or Missionary's family, plus 6% sales tax. There is an additional charge of $10 per person per night for guests outside of your immediate family (spouse and minor children).

The group rate is $20 per person, per night. The group rate would apply to four or more unrelated guests in a two-bedroom cottage and seven or more unrelated guests in The Cedar House (main floor) ten or more unrelated guests for both floors.

Meeting Room:

The Cedar House has an additional meeting room that will accommodate 30-40 guests. This room has a TV/vcr and a white board for teaching purposes. The lower level of the Miller Home is furnished as an antique ice cream parlor/meeting room that will also accommodate 30-40 guests. Either of these meeting rooms may be reserved for a one-time cleaning fee of $25.
